I had a typical Mexican Catholic upbringing that included Little League baseball, football and playing sports in high school. My mother was our leader and she kept us all on schedule. As a middle child of 5, I knew what it meant to hustle. We all got a crash course in Family Business 101, when our father decided to open a neon lighting business. We soon found out that the family business was a 24/7 operation. While growing up in the family business, we learned about Business 101 in real-time. Even though the family business was a lot of hard work, I love the memories of working with my father and manufacturing signs and lighting systems installed throughout America.

Being the first to attend a university in my family was a great opportunity. It was tough to balance my responsibility to the family business and my coursework at Cal State University, Fullerton. I studied Political Science and Criminal Justice. I earned a BA in Criminal Justice. In my junior year, my father decided to step away from ownership in the family business for health reasons. The organization came together under my leadership and we were soon building advance lighting systems for some of the largest and most popular brands in the markets of hospitality, restaurants, casinos, and theme parks. These legacy clients included Disney, Universal Studios, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Chase Bank, and the Big A at Angels Stadium.
After selling my businesses in 2013, I retired. Before creating Insure Your Success, I spent time working as a consultant with small businesses helping them with operational efficiencies, sales strategies, tax credits, and networking. In 2020, Covid hit and everything changed. My client's focus changed and our conversations turned to subjects about protecting their families, retirement and wealth protection. My own planning strategy in these areas helped me to decide that creating Insure Your Success would be my next venture.
As a member of my community, I enjoy helping those around me. I am the vice-president of my HOA, neighborhood watch captain, and president and founding member of my business networking chapter. In pursuing success in my insurance business, I follow a different strategy than most. Instead of selling business owners insurance, I ask business owners to let me help them find money in their business. There is one caveat, any money I find they need to use a portion to protect their families with life insurance, fund their retirement or help their employees with benefits. Most of the time, I can achieve all three.

I am fortunate to be a native of Orange County. Which is why I try to help my community.
